Online Therapy for Anxiety
Teletherapy for Driven, High-Achieving Adults
and Teens in Florida and Iowa

“Go go go” gets exhausting after a while.

This might have turned you into what I call an “approval junkie.” You’ll do anything in the name
of meeting the standards you’ve set for yourself and not letting others down:

  • Work all hours of the day

  • Feel like you have to “earn” love or approval

  • Sacrifice your own happiness for the happiness of everyone else

  • Struggle to sleep at night

But in the end, this just leaves you overwhelmed, lonely, and unsatisfied (not to mention really tired).

Maybe a recent life event, such as a break up or move, has led you here. Or maybe you’re just really
ready to stop feeling this way. Either way: I can help.

Being “successful” doesn’t have to mean feeling like crap.

Teletherapy with me can help you develop the tools to help you reach your goals with the balance, confidence, and clarity of mind you need.

Therapy with me isn’t :

Stuffy

Awkward

Robotic

Confusing

Therapy with me is :

Engaging

Down-to-earth

Comfortable

Transparent

And because I know you might be feeling this way…

Reaching out for help is not a sign of weakness or failure.

You’ve proven you have it in you to work hard at just about anything.
Overcoming this depression, anxiety, and stress is just your next endeavor.

Frequently Asked Questions About Online Therapy for Anxiety

+ What are sessions like?

We will meet weekly for 45 minutes via a 100% private, HIPAA-compliant video platform. Our first few sessions will be all about getting to know one another, understanding the challenges you’re facing, and making sure you feel comfortable. From there, we will develop a “treatment plan” (a formal way of saying “what your goals are and how we will reach them”). That plan will act as a roadmap for your therapy, but sessions aren’t overly structured -- if you encountered something specific that week, we’ll unpack it together.

+ How long do I need to be in teletherapy?

My goal is always for my clients to leave therapy feeling confident in their own skills and abilities, not reliant on their therapist. The time it takes to accomplish this varies from person to person. If the challenge you’re experiencing is related to a very specific event or area of your life, we may only work together for 3-6 months. Often, however, I end up supporting clients for a year or more, serving as a resource to help navigate new challenges that life presents and develop new coping skills.

+ How often will we meet?

In the beginning, we will meet weekly in order to establish our relationship and the groundwork for treatment, then reassess as we go. Sometimes clients will drop down to every other week or once a month — whatever is needed in order for them to maintain the support that is best for them.

+ Is online therapy as effective as in-person therapy?

Yes! Studies have shown that teletherapy has the same results as in-person treatment for both anxiety and depression (link). If you’re like most of my clients, you will love the flexibility that online therapy provides; you can meet with me where you are most comfortable, and never have to worry about sitting in an awkward waiting room, disrupting your work schedule, or commuting to and from sessions.
